I create thread works centered around the beautiful luster of silk thread in Kaga yubinuki arrangements.
Kaga yubinuki is a traditional craft that originated from the leftover silk threads and fabrics used by seamstresses of Kaga Yuzen in Kanazawa. Everything is handmade from the base, and I carefully stitch each pattern, one stitch at a time. The luster of the silk thread and the geometric patterns are truly beautiful, and even the same design can change its impression with subtle differences in size and color combinations. The finished pieces are truly one-of-a-kind. I strive to deliver works that bring warmth, uplifting your spirits or providing a sense of calm. 絹糸の艶やかさが美しい加賀ゆびぬきのアレンジを中心に糸作品を作っています。
加賀ゆびぬきは昔 金沢/加賀友禅のお針子さん達が余った絹糸や布で作ったことで生まれた伝統工芸です。土台からすべて手作りになります。一針、一針丁寧にかがって模様を作っております。絹糸の持つ艶やかさと幾何学模様がとても美しく、同じ柄でも微妙な大きさの違いや配色で印象が変わります。できた作品はまさしく一点ものとなります。気分が上がったり、あるいは気持ちが落ち着けるような温もりのある糸ならではの作品をお届けできるように心掛けています。日常の彩りにご愛用して頂けたら幸いです。
