I create thread works centered around the beautiful luster of silk thread in Kaga yubinuki arrangements.
Kaga yubinuki is a traditional craft that originated from the leftover silk threads and fabrics used by seamstresses of Kaga Yuzen in Kanazawa. Everything is handmade from the base, and I carefully stitch each pattern, one stitch at a time. The luster of the silk thread and the geometric patterns are truly beautiful, and even the same design can change its impression with subtle differences in size and color combinations. The finished pieces are truly one-of-a-kind. I strive to deliver works that bring warmth, uplifting your spirits or providing a sense of calm. I would be delighted if you could incorporate them into your daily life as a touch of color.
