Mijikani Yuzen – Kawagoe Komichi
🌸 Nice to meet you. I am Kawagoe Komichi from “Mijikani Yuzen” (Yuzen Close to Everyday Life), where I work with traditional Yuzen dyeing. Yuzen dyeing is widely known as one of the traditional Japanese dyeing techniques used for kimono, but it may not be very familiar in everyday life. At Kawagoe Komichi, with the theme of “bringing Yuzen closer to everyday life,” I create accessories and interior pieces that can be enjoyed in daily use. My works are mainly created using the techniques of hand-painted Yuzen (using itome paste outlines) and surikomi Yuzen (using stencils). From designing the patterns to dyeing the fabric and crafting the final pieces, all works are original creations. Through Yuzen-dyed accessories and items, I hope people can enjoy Yuzen dyeing, a uniquely Japanese art of color, not only through kimono and obi, but also as something familiar and close in everyday life. 🌸
身近に友禅 川越こみちさん
🌸 はじめまして、友禅染の活動をしています「身近に友禅 川越こみち」です。 「友禅染」というと和装の伝統的な染色技法の一つとして知られていますが、 日常では馴染みの薄いものかと思います。 「 川越こみち 」では普段使いのできる染として ❝身近に友禅❞ をテーマに装身具やインテリア作品を制作しています。 おもに手描友禅(糸目糊使用)、摺込友禅(型使用)の技法で、 図案から 染色 小物製作までオリジナル作品を手がけています。 友禅染の小物、商品を通して着物 帯にこだわらず、 日本独自の染 ｢友禅染｣ を身近なものとして親しんでいただければ幸いです。
